Economics of Climate Change and Low Carbon Growth Strategies in Northeast Asia (TA-7465)

SHARE THIS PAGE:

The TA will enhance resilience to climate change risks in Northeast Asia through improved understanding of the economics of climate change to enable policy makers in Northeast Asia to initiate mitigation and adaptation actions. Specifically, the TA will (i) identify climate change trends in Northeast Asia over the next decade and suggest policies for coping with and countering future climate change impacts; (ii) corroborate other studies on climate change and its impact in Northeast Asia; (iii) analyze the GHG mitigation potential of technology options; and (iv) conduct assessment of future climate change impacts on major sectors, including agriculture, forest, water, marine and coastal resources (including fisheries), and health, at the regional and country levels based on the outputs from the models under the IPCC climate scenarios.
