This initiative aims to strengthen the Government’s ability to make informed decisions regarding adaptation to climate impacts. It is one of the proposed activities identified under Phase One of the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR). Phase 2 of the PPCR, seeks to implement the strategic program for climate resilience (SPCR) through support for policy reform, institutional capacity building, and the scaling-up of investments in key sectors. This initiative seeks to support the development of an outline program for incremental adaptation investments in critical sectors that will be endorsed by the Government. The expected outcome is that hydro-meteorological and water sector institutions have the basic ability to anticipate climate impacts and provide resilience measures to vulnerable sectors and river basins.
