SHARE THIS PAGE:

The international commitments in response to climate change have been made globally, particularly at COP21 in Paris in December 2015 and at COP22 in Marrakech in November 2016. All parties are required to submit their Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) to show their commitment in tackling the threat of climate change impacts. Climate change adaptation is one of the major components of the NDC.

This summary describes the overall current status of adaptation measures in Asia and the Pacific, focusing on several concerns including: national adaptation plans, adaptation priorities, and requirements for adaptation actions, as well as current adaptation projects and funding sources. More generally, this summary is intended to help readers to understand NDC updates at regional levels, including key important messages and relevant issues.
