The Stockholm Memorandum – Tipping the Scales toward Sustainability

This document refers to the key issues from the 3rd Nobel Laureate Symposium on Global Sustainability which took place in Stockholm, Sweden on 16-19 May 2011. The document talks about how human beings pay a high price to be the dominant species – high price in terms of unsustainable patterns of production, consumption, and population growth. It also lists out priorities for a ‘Coherent Global Action’ which includes managing the climate and many others.
