Scoping Assessment on Climate Change Knowledge Platform in Nepal

This scoping study of climate change in Nepal draws on the institutional landscapes; policies, laws and regulations; policy and knowledge interface and capacity building on climate change adaptation in Nepal. The Adaptation Knowledge Platform (AKP) aims to disemminate and exchange adaptation knowledge with a wider audience. It aims build bridges between current knowledge on adaptation to climate change and the governments, agencies and communities that need this knowledge to inform their responses to the challenges that climate change present. Keeping this in mind, activities were initiated in Nepal by the local partner ISET-Nepal to assess the work going on in the fied of climate change adaptation and also to identife the key knowledge and capacity gaps. Based on the scoping study the AKP will be better informed to engage in in-country and regional activities in the future which will include: a regional knowledge sharing system, generation of new knowledge and better application of new and existing knowledge.
