Integrating climate change concerns into disaster management planning: The case of Gorakhpur, India
This case study describes how an action research programme on climate mainstreaming is currently addressing a considerable increase in the intensity and frequency of floods that Gorakhpur District has faced. The study looks at how the programme was developed, what factors have contributed to its success, and evaluates how the programme might inspire other local governments in a similar position.
