Climate Change: Impacts, Adaptation, and Policy in Southeast Asia

The Economy and Environment Program for Southeast Asia (EEPSEA) organised a conference on climate change adaptation in Bali, Indonesia from 13 to 15 February, 2008. The event brought together key players in the subject-area by way of 65 participants comprising researchers, policy-makers, NGOs and donors. About 40 papers were presented in the workshop sessions while national and local government policy-makers and project managers presented existing work on climate change adaptation by way of panel presentations. The main aim of the conference was to determine critical areas of research to support climate change adaptation strategies in Southeast Asia. This report covers the main proceedings of the conference with syntheses of workshop and group discussion sessions as well as short summaries of panel presentations.
