Building the Analytical Base: A Summary of Results from Phase 1 of the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience in Tajikistan

The Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR) is a global initiative to help put countries on a climate-resilient development path that is consistent with poverty reduction and sustainable development goals. In Tajikistan, it is being implemented in two phases and covers six priority investment areas. This report provides an overview of the technical assistance under PPCR’s phase 1 completed in 2010.

Phase 1 looks at hydroclimate modeling, the energy sector, sustainable land management approaches and measuring of adaptive capacity and raising awareness in Tajikistan to determine level of climate resilience. The report also reviews the investment package/framework for phase 2 of the project.
