What is this course about?

With increasing pressure on development partners to demonstrate the effectiveness of their work, it is essential they have a solid grasp of the principles of Project Cycle Management. Project Cycle Management (PCM) methodology and its principle tool, the Logical Framework is the quality benchmark for project design and implementation. PCM begins at planning, and provides a road map for effective project execution and project decision-making throughout the project life cycle. Many donors insist on a PCM approach to ensure a results-based logic in the intervention and to minimise risk or the possibility of failure. This course is designed to enhance the efficiency of individuals, organisations and government authorities working on development project as well as increase the effectiveness of the project.

This training is ideal for staff of development organisation involved in the design, execution and coordination of project and programmes. This includes (future) project managers/coordinators, portfolio managers, desk officers and programme officers from development related organizations including donors, government departments, civil society groups, (I)NGO’s and charities.
