BlockTexx – Textile Recovery Technology
BlockTexx is an early stage clean technology company that recovers polyester and cellulose from textiles and clothing.
Through an Australian developed patent pending process that combines chemical recovery technology and advanced manufacturing to produce high quality recycled materials of rPET pellets and cellulose powder from textile waste.
BlockTexx is positioned at the end of the value chain, where raw materials and end-of-use solutions have the highest environmental impact and revenue potential.
Demand – manufacturers looking for rPET pellets and cellulose powder
Supply – textile waste
Recycled raw materials recovered from textiles
From the S.O.F.T. (separation of fibre technology) process, the recovered PET is polymerised to create virgin-quality S.O.F.T. branded Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (rPET) pellets, suitable for use in textiles, packaging, and building products.
The recovered cellulose is processed to create S.O.F.T. branded cellulose powder for use in many industries such as textiles, building, pharmaceutical and food.
