Scope of the Market Place

The objective of Market Place is to provide an additional informal space to share good practices for integrated and inclusive approaches to adaptation to climate change, with a focus on acceleration and delivery.

The Market Place will showcase enterprises or organizations that are contributing to climate adaptation actions with innovative and advanced adaptation technologies, services, or products in the Asia-Pacific region. It will be a suitable area to network with other participants to the Forum, and, review materials and publications, and product displays.

How does it work?

Exhibitors are welcome to showcase their technologies, services, and other knowledge products, on climate change adaptation during the 7th Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Forum.

A Virtual Exhibit Hall will give attendees the ability to browse virtual exhibitor booths. An exhibitor directory will make it easy to locate specific booths all with one click and attendees will be able to engage with the exhibitors.

Exhibitors will be able to choose from pre-designed booth templates or upload a custom design. Virtual event booths can include any digital content including documents, videos, links to web-pages, social media links, surveys, etc. When a visitor enters a booth, the exhibitor receives an alert and will be able to chat with them. Chat options may include: private 1:1 chat; public group chat; chat queue; video.

Exhibitors will be assisted with the set-up of their booth at Market Place, including filling out the template. Furthermore, exhibitors may choose a simple, low-burden display method that does not entail features such as chat or video.

How to join?

To join the Market Place, kindly indicate your interest in exhibiting by filling out this online form (Annex I) by 18 January 2021.

The Secretariat will review the content of the exhibit and will notify you by email by 22 January 2021 regarding the status of your participation. Prior to this notice, the Secretariat may make individual inquiries about the content of your exhibit from the IT vendor commissioned to build the Market Place.

The Secretariat will try to make space for as many exhibitors as possible, but in case of exceeding the limit, priority will be given to those more aligned with the concept of the Forum.

The proposed exhibition must be consistent with the purposes and principles of the Forum and shall not be of commercial nature. Only informative items or other materials of an educational nature will be allowed. Informative items may include a showcase of products and services which can be utilized for adaptation projects.  Exhibitors will indeed be able to share contact information (and commercial details) privately with interested participants.
